Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosure ( CRB)
All child carers must have an enhanced certified disclosure. This is a police check checking to see that the nanny has not been entered on a register as not being suitable to work with children. Insurance
We recommend to the child care workers we place that they take out insurance to protect themselves against an accident to a child in their care for which they may be held legally liable. Similarly, when you employ someone to take care of your children you become the employer and as such, you should take out employer’s liability insurance, If your nanny has use of your car you should ensure their name is added to your policy.
